Coin Dish hand made in English Ash with inset coin, lovely gift
We make these lovely coin dishes in a variety of locally sourced hard woods , this particular one has been turned from English Ash which has a fabulous pattern in the grain.
Dave turns the shallow bowl then sands it until beautifully smooth to the touch, The bowl is finished with a shellac based polish which gives a deep shine.
We select a coin , usually a pre-decimal penny or half penny then polish it until it shines almost like new. (Some of these coins are really old so we can't reach mint condition!)
This coin is a 1967 Penny which has been inset into the centre of the bowl and permanently fixed.
This feature makes these bowls a bit different and are a talking point for our customers!
The size of this bowl is about 6" in diameter and just under 2" deep.
Perfect for keeping loose change , keys or even jewellery.
These make a very popular gift , we do have a limited stock of coins and if you would like a particular year and we have it in stock we can make that for you, just contact us , request a year and we will make it for you.
